Forbidden Zone (2023) is a Chinese fantasy action film directed by Luo Le. The story begins with a celestial event where nine dragons escort a bronze coffin through the North Star, descending upon a forbidden island rumored to house an emperor’s treasure capable of enhancing one’s internal energy.

This legend draws various sect leaders and wanderers, including the orphan Ji Kong (portrayed by Feng Lijun), to the island in pursuit of the coveted weapon. Raised in the Sword House and recognized for his innate talent, Ji Kong’s master invests heavily to forge thousands of swords for the Holy Land, facilitating Ji Kong’s training there. Accompanied by his fellow disciple, Ji Kong ventures to the island, aiming to secure the emperor’s weapon and ascend to the imperial throne. Throughout their journey, they confront enigmatic beasts and unravel ancient conspiracies that challenge their skills and resolve.
