Damocles is a 2020 Chinese action film set during the Ming Dynasty. The story follows Yin Yingzhi, a man of humble origins, who becomes entangled with a secret assassin organization that has existed for thousands of years.
He learns that he carries the bloodline of the legendary King of Assassins and that his father was murdered. The organization offers to train Yin into a super assassin, urging him to avenge his father’s death. However, as Yin delves deeper, he discovers that this proposition is part of a larger conspiracy.
